So it has been two years since the first time we heard the doctors say, “We saw a mass”. Without a doubt, our perspective on nearly everything was altered within minutes. Our son Jackson, not yet even two years old, was diagnosed with cancer – Wilms’ Tumor – a childhood cancer that attacks the kidneys. The rest is our recent history.
But we were never alone, having been blessed with love, support, comfort and grace from family, friends, teachers/caregivers, hospital/clinic staff – even total strangers. We can’t even begin to thank all of you who have been there with us through this journey, but please know that all of the prayers, thoughts, laughs, swears, etc, have helped carry us through this whirlwind.
Even with the joyous news of our Jacky’s most recent clear scans, we will continue to take the fight to childhood cancer in any way we can.
All our love to all, and thank you, thank you, thank you.
Let’s Keep Doing This!
